Tally your answers to find… what Game of Thrones character are you most like?

“Game of Thrones” characters in the Hall of Faces

Mostly A’s… Daenerys Targaryen

Daenerys Targaryen

Perhaps one single trait defines you the most: ambition. Like Daenerys, you will accept nothing less than your ultimate goal to rule the world. You are a master of strategy and maneuvering to get your way, and you totally have the long game in mind. Even if it seems like you’re treading water, you know how to use your experiences, connections, and powers to make your next move. Sometimes, though, your ambition gets ahead of you, and you can make a mistake if you see the forest but not the trees. No matter what, you are a trailblazer, smashing the glass ceiling and overturning people’s mistaken belief that just because you are beautiful, you are fierce and brutal when you need to be. An important lesson for Dany and you is that it’s lonely at the top. A trusted group of friends and admirers (like Missandei) can help you rule with compassion and humility.

Mostly B’s… Tyrion Lannister

Tyrion Lannister

In his own words, Tyrion boasts: “That’s what I do. I drink, and I know things.” And boy, can you relate! No one can deny that you’ve had to put up with a lot of unpleasant stuff, from bullying to betrayal to feeling like the black sheep of your family. It’s made you the most cynical person you know. You are something of a class clown and conceal your bitterness behind a wry wit. You aren’t afraid to speak your mind and won’t hold your tongue. There’s no one you won’t share your honest opinions with. However, that can get you in trouble if you offend someone or make them feel stupid. Good thing your best friend (Bronn!) is just about the only person who can match your candor. Whenever you’ve bottomed out, completely depressed and/or disillusioned, you have pulled yourself up and started again. Now you have a clearer idea of what you believe in and how you will use your intelligence for a worthy cause larger than yourself.

Mostly C’s… Jon Snow

Jon Snow

Poor Jon Snow has had to deal with bastard haters since Episode 1 of Game of Thrones. Having a constant chip on your shoulder and needing to prove everyone wrong about you can make you more than a little defensive. Maybe that’s why you’ve worked so hard to set up an independent life doing something completely different than what people would expect. You can sometimes get angsty, but your best friend (Sam) pulls you back, giving you shoot-from-the-hip advice and making sure you don’t get carried away with your moods. Like Jon Snow, you are a passionate lover, and you find it hard to put your head above your heart when making a difficult decision. Above all, you are a compassionate person able to see beyond the prejudices of other people. You have solid perspective on what matters the most in this world, and what we stand to lose. A close call with death gives you more focus than ever. You won’t waste another day of your life.

Mostly D’s… Brienne of Tarth

Brienne of Tarth

Quick thinking and merciless, Brienne of Tarth is a true warrior. She initially serves Remly Baratheon, harboring a big unrequited crush for him. (Why is it you always get stuck in these situations with stifling romantic tension?) When she pledges her service to Lady Catelyn Stark, Brienne takes a different road in life. You will always come to the defense of others, like your friends and family, and you’re a terrific sidekick. And as much as you might play the loner card, you do appreciate companionship and camaraderie, like that of her friend, Jaime Lannister. After making some big choices, you now realize that good and evil blend together more than stand apart. Still, though you are quite adaptable, your core values remain.

Mostly E’s… Arya Stark

Arya Stark

From the first season of Game of Thrones, Arya Stark stood out as a nonconformist, someone who didn’t want to fit into the girly princess role her sister Sansa embraced. Arya had no illusions about love and romance. Ever her father’s daughter, Arya is daring and brave. When she has a goal in mind, she will stop at nothing to make her dreams a reality… even if her dream is really a nightmare where she must avenge the lives of her closest friends and family. (And by the way, her “best friend” in Question 5 is her beloved sword, Needle). Like Arya, you’ve had to grow up fast and have witnessed some horrific events. This trauma has hardened you somewhat, but rather than completely dismiss the help, love, and friendship of others, you appreciate it all the more.
